L2: Changing configuration
Learn how to change default configuration of a SKAARHOJ controller so it controls different hardware. Includes updating firmware and setting an IP address in the firmware. Finally we will look at using the Serial Monitor for diagnostics.
Summary: Kasper shows how to change a configuration to another default configuration using the “Online Configuration” function in the Firmware Updater. He mentions how setting the right IP address can be done online before generating the new firmware. Finally he presses “Check for updates” to have a new firmware generated by the server and instantly installed on the controller. The PTZ Pro is rebooted and you see it work with Panasonic cameras instead of NewTek. However, he used the wrong IP address and demonstrates how to change it with the Local Configuration like he did in the first video. Finally in this video Kasper demonstrates the Serial Monitor and how it can be used for debugging if you have connectivity issues with your SKAARHOJ controller: This includes seeing what IP addresses the controller is using to look for cameras in this case.
