L5: Configuration Management
This session focuses on how you can share configurations between controllers in a way so you can make centralized configuration maintenance for multiple controllers. Creating new configurations from scratch or as a copy from another configuration is also covered.
Summary: In this video Kasper will demonstrate how to share a configuration for one controller with other controllers so the configuration can be updated one place but used by multiple controllers. This includes finding the subscription ID for a controller (master) and how to use that on a different controller (also a PTZ Pro) so it subscribes to that configuration. Kasper shows how a configuration subscribed to appears as a default configuration and how you can set IP address for it while still subscribing to it. Finally, he underlines how a change beyond setting IP address will create a new User Configuration as a copy of this configuration if you change it. Final note on how to copy a configuration actively (as opposed to implicitly by changing a default configuration) and how to create a completely new configuration
